# Catering & Meal Box Delivery in KL | PichaEats --- # Meet the Chefs — PichaEats Refugee Chefs --- # What We Do — PichaEats --- # Our Story — PichaEats --- # FAQ **Q: What's your minimum order?** A: It depends on what you're after: - Bento boxes & meal boxes: minimum 10 boxes per chosen menu. - Sharing platters: minimum 10 pax per menu. - Buffet catering: minimum food value of RM 1,500 (before manpower, logistics & SST). You're welcome to mix menus. For example, ordering vegetarian bentos alongside your main selection is no problem, as long as each menu meets its own minimum. **Q: Can I order fewer than the minimum?** A: The minimums above are the smallest batch our kitchen can prepare while keeping the quality our chefs are known for. If you're just below, talk to us. Sometimes we can suggest a menu that works for your group size, or a lightbites option starting from RM 15/pax. **Q: What do you cater for?** A: We offer buffet catering, bento & meal boxes, sharing platters, live stations, and canapés for corporate lunches, townhalls, trainings, workshops, weddings, and private gatherings across the Klang Valley. Our chefs cook Middle Eastern, Western, Malay, Chinese and fusion cuisines. Every dish is made by refugee chef families who've turned their home recipes into a livelihood. **Q: Can I see the menu before I commit?** A: Absolutely. Just let us know your event type and any food preference (Middle Eastern, Western, Asian, vegetarian) and we'll send the most suitable menu link and photos so you can picture exactly what's coming. **Q: Is SST included?** A: Our headline food prices are quoted before 6% SST. Your final quotation will clearly list food value, manpower, logistics and SST separately so there are no surprises. **Q: How do I pay, and do you need a deposit?** A: Full payment is needed is at least 2 working days before the event day for confirmation. You can pay a 50% deposit as down payment to book your slot with us with the balance to be cleared 2 working days before the event day. For large corporate events, talk to us! **Q: Is your food halal?** A: We're completely Muslim-friendly. We don't serve pork or alcohol, and all our suppliers are halal certified. We're currently in the process of obtaining our own halal certification. **Q: Do you have vegetarian or vegan options?** A: Yes. We have vegetarian dishes and bento menus, and many customers order a few vegetarian boxes alongside their main selection. That's no problem at all. Tell us how many veg portions you need and we'll fold them in. **Q: Can you accommodate allergies and dietary needs?** A: Please flag any allergies or restrictions (nuts, gluten, shellfish, onion/garlic, etc.) when you enquire. Some dishes contain ingredients like dried shrimp that aren't obvious from the name, so we'll check each menu item against your needs before confirming. **Q: Can I customise the menu?** A: Definitely. Menus are a starting point, not a straitjacket. Whether it's swapping dishes, choosing drinks, or building around a cuisine theme or budget, just tell us what you'd like and we'll curate accordingly. **Q: Where do you deliver?** A: We're a delivery & catering business (no physical restaurant) covering Kuala Lumpur and nearby Klang Valley, including PJ, Subang, Shah Alam and Klang. We can often reach further afield like Janda Baik, KLIA and Seremban. Not sure if your venue is in range? Just ask and we'll confirm availability for your date. **Q: How much is delivery?** A: Delivery typically ranges RM 20–30 per trip, depending on your location and the items chosen. It's quoted separately from your food value so you can see exactly what you're paying for. **Q: Will the food stay warm, and how is it delivered?** A: For deliveries we use warmer bags and, where relevant, food warmers or chafing dishes to keep everything at its best. For drop-off-only orders, food is sent in disposable aluminium trays. Our team will coordinate the delivery timing with you and contact you on arrival. **Q: What's included in a buffet setup?** A: Our buffet setups come with disposable utensils, plates and cups, plus basic decor, free of charge. Food warmers and chafing dishes keep dishes hot throughout service. We're happy to share setup photos so you know exactly how your buffet line will look. **Q: How long does setup take?** A: Our crew generally needs around 1 to 1.5 hours to set up before service. Tell us your event's serving time and we'll plan our arrival so everything's ready and beautiful before your guests sit down. **Q: Do you provide waiters or service staff?** A: Yes, we can arrange service crew for your event. Manpower is quoted separately from food value. Let us know your event size and format and we'll recommend the right level of staffing. **Q: How long is the serving time?** A: Our serving time is for 2.5hrs. However we can adjust and amend according to your needs, just ask us and our team will let you know. **Q: How far in advance should I order?** A: The earlier, the better. Ordering ahead gives our chefs time to source the freshest ingredients and prepare your dishes with care. We recommend booking at least a week in advance, as slots are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Popular menus do book out, so early orders help us secure your preferred spread. **Q: Do you accept last-minute orders?** A: We'll always try our best for short-notice requests. Please note a last-minute fee of 10% applies to orders confirmed within 2 working days (or paid after our daily cut-off). Some dishes, particularly beef and slow-cooked items, may not be possible at very short notice, but we'll let you know what we can do and find you a great alternative. **Q: Can I make changes after I've ordered?** A: Yes, within reason. Pax counts, drink choices and menu tweaks can usually be adjusted ahead of your confirmation deadline. Just message us and we'll update your order and invoice. Changes close to the event date may be limited by kitchen prep. --- # Private Events --- # Weddings --- # Corporate Catering --- # Open House — A Meal at Chef's --- # Jumpa — Intimate Event Venue in KL --- # Bento Boxes --- # Buffet Catering --- # What to Order for Your Next Gathering in Klang Valley (2026) A straightforward guide to what to order for your next gathering, a small party catering in KL, based on who's coming and what kind of vibe you're going for.
